  1. To get the perfect cabbage leaf for the roll break the outer leaves, cut leaves from the stalk end and gently pull from the cut end to get a whole leaf. Once the leaves are removed wash it thoroughly and keep them aside.
  2. Next in a large pan and boil 6-7 cups of water with some salt and sugar.
  3. We will now add the cabbage leaves to the boiling water. Let it cook for 3-4 minutes. Once done drain out all the water and let it cool.
  4. Take a pan and heat some oil in it. Add onions and fry till they turn golden brown. Now we add the paneer and mix everything well. Add some salt and pepper and sauté them for about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Next in another pan heat 2 tbsp. oil and fry the garlic till it just changes color. Add the tomato puree, vinegar, sugar and some salt and pepper to taste.
  6. We will cook the mix for 2 minutes. Once done remove from the fire and keep it aside.
  7. Now to make the cabbage rolls, divide the paneer mixture into several portions. Place one portion of paneer in the centre of cabbage leaf.
  8. Spread it along the width of the leaf and then roll. Cut the hard end of the leaf and pierce a toothpick on the hard central vein of the leaf.
  9. Now let us take a greased baking dish and place the rolls together. Then we will pour the sauce over it consistently. Cover with a lid and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degree celsius.
  10. Once done remove the rolls and arrange it on a plate. For garnish, top with some grated cheese.
  11. This easy stuffed cabbage recipe can be made ahead of time and baked just before serving. This can even be enjoyed as a side dish served with some juicy steaks. I hope you enjoy them!
